Insights on how to use property investment
In March, the first Sunway Alumni Networking Mixer and Professional Development event of the year took place, but with a twist! Instead of a regular sharing session, a panel was assembled to share insights on the topic of property investment. The session was honored to have Peter Yong, CEO and co-founder of Mr Money TV, a well-known local key opinion leader in financial management, as the special guest speaker. Mr Money TV is Malaysia's first Financial Edutainment Channel with over 142,000 subscribers since its inception in 2019.
The event attracted a significant number of first-time attendees, including several alumni who made the effort to travel from out of town to attend. Peter shared his personal experiences and insights on how to use property investment as a "passive income ATM," revealing both positive outcomes and the mistakes he made, providing valuable lessons for all. The panel session that followed, moderated by Marvin, a fellow Sunway Alumni Relations team member, and joined by Professor Calvin from Sunway Business School, saw several interesting questions raised and answered by both Peter and Professor Calvin.
After the informative and insightful session, attendees adjourned for lunch and mingled, making new connections and friends. It was a great time for all, and we look forward to seeing more of you here at the next Networking Mixer and Professional Development session!
