The annual Sunway Alumni Homecoming reached a special milestone this year with the debut of its brand-new family festival concept. Held successfully on 11th October 2025, FamFest 2025 offered an exciting line-up of activities for all ages. The campus was bursting with energy as our Sunwayian families, spanning generations, came together to reconnect, reminisce, and create unforgettable new memories.
The day kicked off with a bustling registration, where attendees received exclusive goodie bags filled with treats, generously sponsored by Original Classic, Under Armour, Tim Hortons, Sparkora BBQ, Coca-Cola, Farm Fresh, and Herbion Naturals. The campus soon came alive with a diverse range of booths featuring games, activities, schools and programmes’ activities, as well as showcases from Sunway subsidiaries. Key highlights included a nostalgic campus tour, allowing alumni to explore the transformed grounds, and an interactive wildlife encounter, complete with a fun quiz for a chance to win prizes.
As crowds gathered, the first classic lucky draw session gave attendees the chance to win stylish drinkware from Montigo and PUMA cash vouchers. Moving forward, the main event of the day was the Amazing Race Challenge, expertly orchestrated by ATAG Team Building, founded by our alumnus, Arthur Woo. A hit with attendees, the race saw families and friends team up to complete a series of tasks that refreshed their knowledge of the campus. Participants were also tasked with creative photo challenges, such as taking a group photo with the Sun Birds, the "I ❤ SU" sculpture, and our beloved mascots, Samson and Sophia, around campus.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief of Student LIFE and Services, Ms. Lee Siok Ping. Escorted to the stage by our beloved mascots, she delivered a heartfelt address. Reflecting on her 37 years with Sunway, she expressed profound joy at welcoming alumni and their families to the inaugural FamFest, noting it was a special blessing to see former students return with their own children. She warmly reaffirmed that the campus will always be a home for its alumni and encouraged them to continue their engagement by giving back through the 5Ts.
To conclude the day, we held a final lucky draw session. Many lucky members of the Sunway Alumni community won incredible prizes from Sunway Super App, Bomb Battle, and Sunway Theme Parks. The most anticipated session was the premium lucky draw for Amazing Race Challenge participants, who stood to win grand prizes from Club Med Cherating, Sunway Lagoon Malaysia, Kate Spade, Sunway Resort Hotel, and Sunway Sanctuary.
Our Homecoming FamFest 2025 was truly a heartwarming occasion, and the joyful atmosphere made it an unforgettable day. We look forward to seeing everyone again for the next memorable Homecoming.
