Reunite with our beloved Sunway Alumni
In March, we embarked on an exciting journey to Bangladesh and Vietnam to reunite with our beloved Sunway Alumni residing in these countries. This international reunion was part of the CEO Global Alumni Engagement initiative, which was led by our Group CEO of Sunway Education Group, Professor Dato' Elizabeth Lee. Her official visit to these countries was not only to catch up with our alumni, but also to provide them with the latest updates on the happenings in Sunway University.
The atmosphere at the Westin Hotel in Dhaka was filled with warmth as we met up with our alumni from Bangladesh for teatime. We had not seen some of them in a while, but it felt like we had never been apart. Professor Dato' Elizabeth Lee shared the latest developments in Sunway University, and everyone was caught up in the moment, taking selfies and photos with one another. The reception was heartening, and we were elated to hear that our alumni were doing well and achieving great things.
Our evening reception and dinner at Sofitel Plaza in Saigon, Vietnam was equally delightful. It was an emotional reunion, as we reconnected with some of our alumni whom we had not seen since their graduation. Professor Dato' Elizabeth Lee shared the latest happenings in Sunway University, and we were grateful that Riley agreed to be our first Sunway Alumni Ambassador in Vietnam. We are confident that Riley will bring the group together and take up this responsibility with eagerness.
We felt welcomed by our alumni throughout both trips. The bond between us was so strong that there wasn't a single moment that we felt awkward. We had a great time reminiscing about our time together in Sunway, and we wished we could spend more time together. However, we know that this is only the beginning of our meet ups, and we look forward to more in the future!
We would like to extend our gratitude to our alumni in both Bangladesh and Vietnam for their warm hospitality. We cannot wait to see them again soon!
