Giving back to my alma mater, Sunway University, has been incredibly meaningful. It allows me to express gratitude to the institution that shaped my foundation, both intellectually and personally. As an actuarial science student from 2015 to 2018, I gained not only technical skills but also a sense of purpose and resilience, which have helped me tremendously in building my own company, ATAG Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Since graduating, I have had the privilege of volunteering as an alumni mentor. Through mentorship programmes and sharing sessions, I support students by offering practical guidance, career insights, and encouragement drawn from my journey as an entrepreneur in the team-building industry. These interactions often remind me of my own student days, filled with questions, aspirations, and the desire to make a difference.
What inspired me to get involved was a desire to "pay it forward." I strongly believe that the success of one generation should open doors for the next. Participating in events and mentoring students not only reconnects me with the Sunway community but has also deepened my communication, leadership, and empathy - skills vital in both business and life.
Supporting the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation Community scholarship was a natural extension of this belief. I know how transformative education can be, and I want deserving students to have access to the same opportunities I had.
To fellow alumni, I would say, “Giving back doesn’t have to be grand. Start with your time, a conversation, or a small donation. The impact may be greater than you think -both for the students and for yourself."
