From Student to Successful Entrepreneur

I chose the International Business degree programme at Sunway Business School because it offered a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Additionally, receiving a scholarship from Sunway College to enter Sunway University was a significant factor in my decision. The scholarship not only provided financial support but also validated my academic achievements and motivated me to excel further.

The programme was instrumental in providing me with a diverse skill set that is highly valued in the business world. Courses on strategic management gave me a well-rounded understanding of how businesses operate. Learning about operations management and managing change helped me develop a broad global business perspective, which is essential for running a business across multiple cultures and countries. Practical assignments, internships, and collaborative projects ensured that I graduated with hands-on experience and a portfolio of work that impressed potential employers.

After graduation, I joined a digital marketing agency, which provided me with invaluable industry experience. This was not my first foray into the professional world; during my studies, I interned at several companies, gaining exposure to different business functions. These internships were crucial, offering me a practical understanding of the industry and helping me build a professional network. These experiences not only made my transition into full-time employment smoother but also inspired me to start my own business. The challenges I faced, such as adapting to new roles and meeting client expectations, taught me resilience and the importance of continuous learning.

One of my proudest achievements is starting and growing Chingspire Web Design during my university years. Starting a business from scratch while still studying was challenging, but seeing our efforts recognised and the business gradually grow was immensely rewarding. I am also proud that I began my content creation journey while at university, which set me apart from other employees, enabled me to gain social media marketing skills, and provided me with a side income.

Sunway Business School's programme instilled in me a deep understanding of ethical business practices and social responsibility. These principles are now integral to my work at Chingspire Web Design, where we actively support community initiatives and provide discounted services to non-profit organisations. My education at Sunway Business School has inspired me to contribute positively to society by leveraging my business for social good.
