Shoebox Project 2024

As the holiday season approaches, the Sunway Student Volunteers (SSV) are delighted to announce the return of their cherished event, the Shoebox Project!

The Shoebox Project is a new annual initiative by Sunway Student Volunteers (SSV), evolving from its origins as Shoebox Christmas. While it initially focused on delivering educational gifts to children in underprivileged communities, this year’s approach aims to create a more significant and lasting impact. The project will raise awareness of social issues and use festive celebrations as a meaningful platform to express support and care through impactful gifts.

Shoebox Project 2024 initiative includes:
Delivering gifts and conducting educational workshops for children from B40 families, refugee backgrounds, and disadvantaged households.
Providing water filters to the Orang Asli community
Building a mini library for an orphanage
Donating a projector to a refugee centre

For the past many years, Sunway Alumni, including past SSV committee members, have been unwavering in their support of this initiative. If you are interested in joining this meaningful cause, your contribution, regardless of size, can make a meaningful impact in someone’s life. If you would like to contribute to the Shoebox Project, please scan the QR code and complete your donation details by 10 December 2024.

Let’s make this holiday season unforgettable for everyone involved – because together, we can create a ripple of kindness that transcends the season and leaves a lasting impact.
