High-energy sports and good vibes
Once again, it's that time of the year – the Trident Alumni Games were back with a bang! On August 5th, 2023, the awesome alumni from Sunway University, Taylor’s University, and Monash University gathered for a day of high-energy sports and good vibes. Remember last year's fun bowling event? Well, we decided to kick it up a notch this time around! This year's shindig featured two fantastic sports – Badminton and Captain Ball. A total of 56 alumni from all three institutions jumped in on the action, with 24 of them smashing it out on the badminton court and 32 folks getting their game on in the Captain Ball matches.
The day started off with an opening ceremony led by Ms. Lee Siok Ping, Director of Student LIFE at Sunway University. After her inspiring speech, Mr. Mok from the Sunway Sports Office got everyone stretched and ready for action. With spirits flying high, it was off to Sunway University for badminton and Taylor's University for some Captain Ball action. These games weren’t about the competition at all – they were a chance for alumni from different paths of life to come together. It was like a big networking event where the veterans shared their wisdom with the newbies, creating an awesome sense of community.
Hats off to the winners, but let's celebrate everyone who brought their A-game and made the day super exciting. We hope everyone had a blast sweating it out and making new pals.
