Pickle Fun on the Courts!
The spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and friendly rivalry was on full display at the Trident Alumni Games 2025: Pickle & Connect, held as part of the much-anticipated annual sports carnival between Sunway University, Monash University Malaysia, and Taylor’s University.
Pickleball, this year’s game of choice, brought alumni together not just for medals, but for memories. From swift serves to cheerful paddle taps, the courts were alive with energy, laughter, and connection.
The event kicked off with opening remarks from Ms Lee Siok Ping, Chief of Student LIFE & Services, who warmly welcomed the participants and officially launched the games. Her words set the tone for an exciting day ahead.
A total of 86 alumni from all three institutions signed up for the challenge, showcasing a vibrant mix of skill levels, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Players were then assigned to their respective courts, where they battled it out in fast-paced matches of 21 points.
A huge round of applause goes to all our alumni participants who brought their A-game and incredible enthusiasm throughout the day! Whether they were seasoned players or first-timers, everyone contributed to the electric atmosphere that made this event truly unforgettable.
Congratulations to our winners in the Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories! You earned not only the medals but also the bragging rights until the next year’s games.
Beyond the competition, the event was a beautiful celebration of alumni spirit - a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and build new friendships through the joy of sport.
